Jiangsu Province’s first one-stop visa service center at the community level -- the Foreigners Management Center of the Nanjing Police Station --began trial operations in Qing’ao Village (Youth Olympic Village) of Nanjing’s Jianye district, Mar. 11.

The center in the village, named for the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games in 2014, has been authorized to receive applications and grant visas to foreigners, making it a one-stop service center.

With a useable area of about 200 square meters, the center boasts a self-service machine for registration of temporary accommodations, a coffee maker, drinkingwater dispenser, books, magazines and other amenities.

The core business of the center is handling visa applications for foreigners and registration of temporary accommodations in Jianye District as well as promoting laws and regulations, offering consulting services and also processing appointment-only visa services.

Qing’ao Village, also known as the Qing’ao International Talents Community, is now home to 115 foreigners, mainly the top notch technical professionals from the United States, Britain, New Zealand and South Korea, etc.
