As we come to the last few days of 2017, the little girl Norah will have her two years' birthday. Norah's father Paul is from New Zealand and her mother is a Nanjing native, and the little girl, who was born in Nanjing, is the outcome of a beautiful international romance.

Norah's mother Rena met her father when she was studying in New Zealand. They fell in love and got married in 2011. Then they lived in Japan for a while but eventually decided to come back to China..

Paul has long been used to Chinese food. When he first met Rena, Rena often took him to have the spicy Sichuan food, which he loved and hated at the same time. "We have all kinds of cuisines in New Zealand. Today we may have curry and tomorrow we can have Thai food, then another cuisine the day after," said Paul with a smile. "My mother felt strange that we always have Chinese food here, because they have dishes of different countries every day."
