He Yanlan, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, demonstrated how to make Yangzhou dough figurines.

Dough sculpture is an ancient folk art in China. Compared with other schools of dough sculpture, Yangzhou dough sculpture boasts a long history and was included in the first batch of intangible cultural heritages of Yangzhou in January 2008.

The 42-year-old He Yanlan is the fourth-generation inheritor of the He family. According to her, Yangzhou dough figurines feel lovely and natural for their simplicity, liveliness and delicacy, with special emphasis on the expressions, background and clothing of the figurines.
