Twin brothers Waheeb and Mugeeb were extremely eye-catching at the activity of "Foreigner's View of Jiangsu", a two-day trip to Dongtai of Yancheng, on July 1.

Besides the resemblance in appearance, the twins caught people's attention by their interesting speeches at the opening ceremony. One in Chinese and the other in English, the two speeches unveiled their wonderful life in Jiangsu.

Waheeb has been in China for almost four years. After one year of language study in Xi'an of Shannxi province, he enrolled in Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST) in 2014. Mugeeb was admitted to Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) in the same year.

Before they came to China, they were so worried about all challenges they might encounter, such as food, language barrier, communication problems and cultural differences. Fortunately, "the faculties and students are so warm-hearted, and they have tried all forces to help us adapt to the life and culture here," said Mugeeb with a thankful smile.

As for Waheeb, learning Chinese language is an effective way to get rid of the frustration of living in the foreign land. He even got to picked his own Chinese name Wei Haiyang (魏海洋). "Wei is after the Wei Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280), which I learned from Chinese history. Haiyang means sea in Chinese, and I want myself to be as tolerant as the sea. What's more, it pronounces like my original name," explained Waheeb who is now an expert of Chinese. He can read and also knows lots of Chinese slangs and proverbs. He has been to Hangzhou and it lived up to his expectation. Thus, he is even more looking forward to a trip to Suzhou, since the old saying goes "Up above there is Paradise, and down here there are Suzhou and Hangzhou."

It's been three years in Nanjing, and everything is so easy for them now. They like to eat local snacks, attend charity activities with local people, and even watch popular Chinese TV series. The beautiful natural sceneries, the delicious food and the nice people, all of which make Nanjing a beloved second home for the brothers.
