Changzhou, Johor Bahru of Malaysia become sister-cities

Changzhou and Johor Bahru in Malaysia have signed a sister-city relationship agreement on Nov 8, aiming to boost the communications and cooperation in the fields of economy, technology, culture, sports, hygiene, education and talents.

Johor Bahru is the capital of Johor, one of the 13 states in Malaysia.

The city is also the second largest city as well as the main commercial center in Malaysia. It possesses developed industries like electronics, petrochemicals and shipbuilding. It is worth mentioning that the city has constructed well-positioned harbor and international airport.

The total volume of foreign trade between Changzhou and Malaysia reached 410 millions US dollars in 2015.

At the end of last year, 48 companies from Malaysia have been founded in Changzhou, most of which are engaged in electronics, floor board and plastic products.
