Chow Yun-Fat's 'Project Gutenberg' leads China's holiday box office

Project Gutenberg, a crime thriller starring Chow Yun-Fat and Aaron Kwok, became the apparent winner of China's box office during the lucrative National Day holiday, according to data released by online movie ticket service Maoyan on Friday.

Project Gutenberg, directed by Felix Chong -- known as the writer of the  Infernal Affairs trilogy -- took in 76.11 million yuan ($11.08 million) in ticket sales as of Friday evening, accumulating a total of 501 million yuan at box office since its release on Sept. 30.

Zhang Yimou's Shadow came in second, making 39.3 million yuan on the day. It has registered a total of 370 million yuan since its release on Sept 30.
