Nanjing exhibition shows 120 calligraphy works and paintings by women
An exhibition of more than 120 calligraphy works and paintings by women artists of Jiangsu Province opened in Nanjing to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8.
Art creations in the invitational exhibition are in many forms, such as traditional Chinese painting, oil painting and print. The 15 female painters, from those born in 1950s to 1980s, have focused on a wide range of subjects and revealed the characteristics of the times in diverse styles.
Visitors can also buy some of the art works during the exhibition that runs until March 16. For more information, people can follow the WeChat public accounts of “江苏新华艺术”( Jiangsu Xinhua Art) and “新华鉴藏” (Xinhua Art Appreciation and Collection), both art arms of Xinhua Daily Media Group.
