Cultural and art fair to kick off in Wuxi

The 8th Wuxi Cultural and Art Industries Fair will take the stage from Oct 11 to 15.

Hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Wuxi Municipal Government, the event will be held at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center, with an exhibition area of 47,000 square meters.

A total of 896 exhibitors from 17 countries and China’s 22 provinces will attend the fair that consists of two sections - fine arts and creative lifestyle, with 12 theme pavilions, including Jiangsu’s Cultural Creation, Lifestyle, Overseas Arts, Jewelry and Jade Caving.

For the first time, it will organize matchmaking fairs for cultural projects and has invited key cultural parks and investors to communicate with enterprises and high-level talents.

Rong Bao Zhai, one of China’s time-honored brands, will display the art of water print on wood blocks and hold a private auction. Other art auctions will also debut at the fair this year.

The fair will invite 157 masters at the national and provincial levels and inheritors of intangible cultural heritages.

The fair, the only professional event in cultural and art sectors in Jiangsu, has attracted 823,550 visitors since it was launched in 2011, with deals worth 1.96 billion yuan reached at the annual gathering. It has become an influential cultural brand in the Yangtze River Delta as well as in China. Editor:Dylan
