Mexican art show opens in Suzhou Museum

The “Window of Mexico” art exhibition opened at the Suzhou Museum on June 12.

Visitors will have a better understanding of the mysterious Mayan ruins, dazzling Cancun scenery, splendid countryside charms, strong beverage Tequila, and rich Mexican cuisine in the museum. Through pictures, this exhibition shows Mexico's natural scenery, customs, and masterpieces of artists from different periods, opening a window for citizens and tourists to understand Mexico's history and culture. This one-and-a-half-month exhibition was jointly organized by the Suzhou Foreign Affairs Office and the Consulate General of Mexico in Shanghai.

Data showed Suzhou's trade volume with Mexico totaled nearly $4 billion in 2017. From January to April this year, the total trade value reached $1.3 billion, an increase of 18.6 percent year-on-year. As of April, Suzhou had 7 Mexican companies in operation, and the city had invested in six projects in Mexico, with the agreed investment amount standing at $172 million.
