The embroidery work "Lotus" by Suzhou embroidery master Yao Xuehua officially became part of the collection of the Louvre Museum.

The 23rd International Cultural Heritage Fair was held at Louvre at Paris in early November. Yao’s "Lotus" was exhibited. The embroidery work shows a lotus pond scene. The gray lotus leaf and the white lotus flowers form a sharp contrast, making the lotus exceptionally holy. Although this is a small artwork, the piece is liked by the Louvre Museum.

Yao was born in Zhenhu, Suzhou city. She started learning embroidery at an early age. Yao has created many outstanding embroidery works in the past 40 years.
