Chunjiang Town hosts food festival featuring Yangtze River delicacies

It is the best time of the year to try the local cuisine and enjoy beautiful riverside views in Changzhou City of Jiangsu Province, so Chunjiang Town in Changzhou is hosting a food festival from April 26 to May 31, offering a great variety of dishes made with the river’s fish and other products.

At the opening ceremony, seven famous food companies will present their feature dishes. The combination of modern and traditional cooking is certain to bring a unique visual and tasty feast.

Chunjiang Town has river banks stretching 18 kilometers along the Yangtze River and is known for its knife fish, puffer fish and other delicacies. It has a long tradition in harvesting and cooking products from the river.

To better preserve and spread its culinary culture, Chunjiang Town also plans to build a folk customs park and commercial street gathering the famed dishes together in one place to make a top tourist attraction.
