Yangzhou University opens first Huaiyang cuisine workshop

An open class on Huaiyang cuisine was offered at the cooking lab of the Yangzhou University Yangzijin campus, Jiangsu media reported on July 10.

It was the first time the university offered food courses to students of other majors. Through lectures, demonstrations of cooking classic Huaiyang food and workshops, the courses enabled students to fully understand Huaiyang cuisine and grasp the basic method of cooking “Yangzhou fried rice”, a classic, popular Huaiyang food.
