The Gusu District signed strategic cooperation agreement with Galileo Global Education in March 2017 and established the Suzhou Sino-French Cultural and Artistic Innovation Base, with several projects already in operation.

Following the agreement, the project will introduce international cultural innovative ideas and applied art education sources. Meanwhile, the project will include the Suzhou Sino-French Cultural and Artistic College in the ancient town, which will be a second-tier institute of the Applied Technology College of Soochow University.

It is reported that the first phase of the project will open courses in fashion design, graphic design, spatial design, animation and game design, with 50 students enrolled for the first time in September.
