17-year-old from Yangzhou holds solo concert in Florida

Ji Yuting, a student from Yangzhou City of east China’s Jiangsu province, held a successful solo piano concert in Florida, the United States on Feb. 20.

Senior student at North Broward Preparatory School,the 17-year-old played classical piano solo and concerto in the first half followed by musical works he adapted, recomposed and created in recent years, which blend oriental and Western music elements. His skillful play, unique interpretation and passion deeply impressed the audience.

Born to a well-educated family, he grew up under the influence of music. Ji began learning piano at 5, started music production at 10 and then made music with computer at 15 when he went to study in the United States.

Fascinated with electronic music production, he has made a remarkable progress and gradually built up his reputation. Last year, he signed for release of three of his works with record labels Wolfrage Recordings and Matrix Music Records.

He has released 15 music works on Sound Cloud and NetEase Music. On Jan. 21, he released the latest track Glow on the Beatport music streaming service to become one of today’s youngest electronic music producers.
