A ceremony was held in Suzhou on Saturday to mark the completion of a children's embroidery project commemorating the upcoming 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

"My heart to the Party - Embroidered Party Emblem by 19 Pairs of Small Hands" was the theme of the ceremony, which was held in Suzhou's Taibo Temple.

To present the gift to the 19th National Congress, 19 student representatives in Suzhou learned to use a needle to embroider their masterpiece - a beautiful Party emblem.

In 35 days, the students, who at first didn't know how to embroider, learned the skills from an embroidery artist, Zhang Lixing. Zhang, who is an inheritor of Suzhou embroidery art, helped the students complete the Party emblem, whose area is 1.9 square meters.
