Finnair currently has six routes in Greater China area, with Nanjing to be its seventh destination.

An Airbus A330 aircraft will operate the new nine-hour route three times a week during the summer season and two times a week in winter. The summer flights will leave Helsinki for Nanjing on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The flight will then go back to Helsinki from Nanjing on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The aircraft from Nanjing to Helsinki supports Wi-Fi and mobile payment solution Alipay onboard. Finnair is also the first European airliner to sell tickets directly through its official WeChat account and accept mobile payment with the popular messenger app.
