Asia’s largest deluxe ro-ro passenger ship on maiden voyage

Harmony Yungang ship, the largest deluxe ro-ro passenger ship in Asia, set sail at 9 am on Dec 18 from the No 69 berth of Lianyungang Port, initiating its maiden voyage to Inchon in South Korea.

The ship, 196.27 meters long and 28.6 meters wide, boasts an aggregate tonnage of 35,000 and can accommodate 1,080 passengers. Its lane is 2,480 meters long, and it cost $52.78 million to build the vessel.

The ship has all the facilities, including a parking apron for helicopters or for carrying cars or container trailers. Entertainment and leisure facilities such as supermarkets, duty-free stores, bars, chess rooms, and box theaters are also available.
