Zhouzhuang honored as charming tourism town

Zhouzhuang, an ancient water town in East China's Jiangsu province, was included in a list of the region's "most charming tourism towns" at the Yangtze River Delta Slow Life Tourism Summit in Suzhou on Oct 13.

Held as part of the 10th Yangtze River Delta Investment Development Forum, the summit aims to further promote the development of tourism in the Yangtze River Delta region, an area encompassing Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces.

The meeting also revealed the lists of the "most charming private tourism destinations" and the "most popular hotels" in the region.

Zhouzhuang, located in Kunshan, a county-level city in Jiangsu, is noted for its profound cultural background, well preserved ancient residential houses and elegant riverside scenery.

Increasingly, its slow-paced lifestyle is also finding favor among travellers from across the world. The town is gradually becoming a wonderful destination for people to slow down and enjoy a more relaxed pace of life.
