Nanjing: Train transformed into capsule hotel

A train, which once ran between Nanjing of Jiangsu province and Huangshan of Anhui province, has been permanently placed in the Nanjing Future Network Town and renovated into a capsule hotel.

The old-fashioned train, which features a traditional green exterior, has been out of service since January 9, 2016. It was the only train used by entrepreneurs in China to date.

After being renovated, the train – with a locomotive and nine cars – now boasts a café, a library and tea bar. It also has an art corridor, offices for entrepreneurs and a place for experiencing virtual reality (VR). The rear car of the train has also been transformed into a capsule hotel, similar to a space capsule, and was furnished with 20 capsule beds.
