Jiangsu Salt Industry Group also signed an investment agreement on Jiangsu’s one-stop import service platform with the government of Jianye District of Nanjing as well as Shanghai International Trading Service at the event.

Under the agreements, Jiangsu Salt Industry Group and Shanghai International Import Trading Service will establish a joint venture in Nanjing to build a one-stop import service platform, promoting the coordinated development of Jiangsu and Shanghai.

The joint venture will establish a full-service platform for international trade enterprises, which incorporate supportive measures to facilitate trade, logistics supply chain system for bonded warehouse and exhibition and sales center for imported goods. It will create a demonstration zone for innovative deal of imported goods.

The joint venture will set up an exhibition hall of 10,000 square meters at the Nanjing International Expo Center. Through this trade platform, it plans to churn outimports worth of 3 to 5 billion yuan in the first five years, and double the amount in the next five years. The joint venture will trade directly with overseas counterparts, instead of entrepot trade, so this will promote foreign trade in Jiangsu by processing trade and tax in the province.
