Nanjing innovative entrepreneur elected JSIBAC president

Jiang Rui, president of Menergy Corporation, was elected as the new president of Jiangsu International Business Association of Canada (JSIBAC) on March 24.

Non-profit organization JSIBAC, founded in Nov. 2011, consists of businessmen from Jiangsu and Ontario, enterprise representatives of Ontario’s investment in Jiangsu and vice versa. Aiming to promote business cooperation and mutual communication between Ontario and Jiangsu province, JSIBAC plays a crucial part in fields of economy, trade, tourism, culture, energy, information, electronics, real estate and others.

With the support of both Chinese and Canadian governments, JSIBAC, under the efforts of all its members, has earned considerable influence in the two countries. JSIBAC’s new president Jiang Rui spoke at the ceremony to make the association a high-end business platform in the future.

Reputed and prestigious, Jiang Rui is the core promoter of Canada China Innovation City in Canada. He has been awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, and 150th Anniversary Medal from the Canada’s Senate in 2017.

Mr. Chen Guozhi, Minister of Ontario Foreign Trade, Mr. E Defeng, China’s Commercial Counselor to Toronto, Judy Lee, vice chairman of Royal Bank of Canada, and over twenty presidents of various business associations attended the appointment ceremony. Previous president Shen Hao took the position of life honorary president of JSIBAC.
