Lianyungang Port tops China in volume of int’l freight train

A freight train carrying 104 containers departed from Lianyungang on Jan. 16. Only six days later, the freight train will arrive at Alma-Ata, capital of Kazakhstan, bringing products like auto parts and medical equipment to the trade center of central Asia.

The international freight trains at the China – Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Base have realized normal operation, with an average of 2.1 trains per day, and the annual freight volume has been on the top among all coastal ports nationwide.

In 2018, more freight routes could be expected to reach Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
