Alibaba to build world-class cloud computing center in Nantong

A signing ceremony for Alibaba Group's largest cloud computing center in East China, Ali Cloud Computing Data Jiangsu Center, was held in Nantong on Dec 18.

According to the blueprint, the center covers an area of 450 acres. The 18-billion yuan ($2.7 billion) center will be equipped with 300,000 servers. As a key infrastructure plank for Alibaba to build an Internet ecosystem, the computers will serve Alibaba's e-commerce transaction system, and Ant Financial’s system and logistics network. Ali Cloud Computing Data Jiangsu Center will strive to become a world-class cloud computing base.
