Huai'an builds national e-commerce pilot base

Located in an overlapping portion of the Yangtze River Delta and Bohai Sea economic circles, as well as at an intersection of water, aviation, land and rail transport routes, Huai’an District in Huai’an city, Jiangsu province is an ideal place for logistics industry development. To date, eight out of China’s top 10 express logistics enterprises have set up their logistics bases in the district.

Promoted by the express delivery sector, the district’s e-commerce has been developing very fast. The district now boasts more than 100 e-commerce enterprises with business sectors covering computer software and hardware development and sales, network product development and sales, commodity and technology import and export as well as sales of clothing, shoes and leather products, achieving a turnover of up to 6 billion yuan ($882 million) in 2016, a year-on-year growth of 150 percent.
