The 2017 Zijinshan Summit for Entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait wrapped up in Nanjing on November 7. More than 700 attendees, including entrepreneurs and heads of important industrial and business groups across the strait, reached a large number of cooperation consensuses and signed 29 cooperation agreements.

The Common Initiative of 2017 Zijinshan Summit for Entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait was announced at the closing ceremony. It called on all the entrepreneurs to seize the opportunity presented by the 13th Five-year Plan and the "two centenary goals" on the Chinese mainland, make full use of the chances created by the Belt and Road Initiative, and explore new markets for industrial cooperation across the strait. It also expected the entrepreneurs to firmly support the 1992 Consensus as the political foundation, make new and greater contributions to the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations, and work together toward the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The governing councils of both sides decided that the annual meeting of the 2018 Zijinshan Summit will be held in the second half of next year.
