China’s iconic Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge reopened to the road traffic on December 29 after 27 months of renovation amid its 50th anniversary celebration.

Authorities have placed a number of restrictions over the use of the bridge for vehicles with different registrations and functions. For example, all vehicles with non-local license plates are banned from using the bridge at any time. Trucks are also prohibited from passing through the bridge except those smaller, cargo vans allowed from 11.00 pm to 6:00 am. Vehicles that transport dangerous, hazardous chemicals and passenger vehicles (excluding buses or locally approved commuter buses) shall not use the bridge at any time.
