Inaugural Curling World Cup underway in Suzhou

The first leg of the inaugural Curling World Cup kicked off at Suzhou Olympic Sports Center on Sept. 12.

To the cheers of the crowd, delegations from China, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Russia, South Korea, Japan, the United States, Canada and Scotland showed themselves at the grand opening ceremony. 24 teams from 10 countries and regions will compete from Sept. 12 to 16.

The World Curling Federation initiated the new four-leg international series called the Curling World Cup. The event is scheduled to be held in four cities - Suzhou, Omaha in United States, Jonkoping in Sweden, and the Grand Final in Beijing.

Each event will hold women’s, men’s and mixed double’s competitions. This is also the first top curling event in Suzhou City. Editor:Dylan
