Suzhou's self-piloting SUV wins the 'Leading Award' at AI autonomous driving contest

Tsinghua University Suzhou (Wujiang) Automobile Research Institute’s modified Chang’an SUV CS55, which is equipped with the pilotless driving technology, won the “Leading Award” at 2018 World Artificial Intelligence Autonomous Driving Championship (WAIAC) held on September 1 in Jiading District, Shanghai. At the competition, two Suzhou engineers operated the pilotless CS55 by remote control and the car succeeded in completing a series of instructions precisely including parking, avoiding non-vehicles and passing through a tunnel.
