On July 10, Nanjing Customs at Nanjing Lukou International Airport seized a tiger skull weighing about 0.8 kilogram with a length of about 30 centimeters from a passenger.

At around 2 pm Tuesday, the X-ray check of luggage from a Chinese passenger who flew to Nanjing from Vancouver showed an abnormal image. An inspection showed that there was a complete animal skull inside the bag.

The South China Wildlife Species Testing Centre confirmed it as a tiger skull, which is under protection of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and also a first-class national protected animal. Editor:Dylan
