World's largest Ro-Ro vessel docks in Lianyungang

Hoegh Target, the world's biggest Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC), safely docked at No. 69 berth at Lianyungang Port at 7:50 a.m. on June 8, after being continuously monitored by the VTS staff at the Lianyungang Maritime Administration for three consecutive hours. This is the first time that this car carrier has entered Lianyungang Port.

The 14-deck ship is 199.9 meters long and 36.5 meters wide, with a deck space of 71,400 square meters. As the world's largest Ro-Ro vessel, it can carry 8,500 cars. Cars, construction machinery and large pieces of equipment will be uploaded to the carrier and transported to the UK. This is also the maiden voyage from Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province to Europe.
