News came from Jiangsu Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau on Feb. 6 that 25,000 batches of imported food products were inspected in all ports of Jiangsu in 2017, accounting for a total value of $4.87 billion.

At the same time, Jiangsu has been sticking to strict standards in inspection. 20 categories of imported food ranging from drinks, candies & chocolates, aquatic products, alcohol and grain products from 18 countries and regions like US, EU and South Korea were disapproved from entering, for substandard quality, microbiological level and certification, etc.

To ensure the food safety of imported goods, Jiangsu Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau have staged a number of regulations to build a scientific supervision system, in which the whole circulation process of the imported goods could be traced.
