Suzhou residents' per capital disposable income grows by 8.1 percent

Suzhou’s per capita disposable income, or PCDI, of local residents reached 50,350 yuan (US$7,720) last year, up 8.1 percent from a year earlier, according to the latest statistics of city’s economy and social development.

The PCDI of urban and rural residents grew 8.1 and 8 percent year-on-year to 58,750 and 29,900 yuan respectively. Commodity prices remained steady last year. The CPI rose 1.7 percent from a year earlier and the growth rate is 1 percent lower than that of a year earlier.

Last year, the regional GDP of Suzhou hit 1.7 trillion yuan, up 7 percent year-on-year. The general public budget revenue grew 10.3 percent to 190.8 billion yuan. Editor:Hiram
