Huai’an hospital passes HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 assessment

The First People’s Hospital of Huai’an City in East China’s Jiangsu province passed an on-site assessment for HIMSS (Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society) EMRAM (Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model) Stage 6 hospital on Sept 21 and become one of the 30 HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 hospital in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The assessment means the hospital has achieved an advanced information technology (IT) level in the medical field in China.

All members of a HIMSS expert assessment team, including its global vice-president and director of its assessment center, unanimously said that the hospital’s IT level has met the HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 hospital standard after carrying out an overall assessment.

Founded in 1961, the Chicago-based HIMSS is a global, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving health care level through the best use of IT and management systems.
