Li Qiang, secretary of CPC Jiangsu Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, met with Singapore's ambassador to China, Stanley Loh, in Nanjing on Sept 12.

Li Qiang said that Jiangsu was one of the first provinces in the Chinese mainland that conducted friendly cooperation with Singapore. Their cooperation projects, represented by the Suzhou Industrial Park, have achieved positive results and are considered successful examples for the mainland's foreign cooperation.

"We stand ready to make joint efforts with Singapore to implement the consensuses reached by leaders of the two countries, and push their friendly communication and cooperation toward new achievements under the Belt and Road Initiative," he added.

Loh praised the friendly cooperation between Jiangsu and Singapore as a forerunner of China-Singapore cooperation, and expressed Singapore's willingness to promote the successful experience of Suzhou Industrial Park on a large scale under the Belt and Road Initiative.
