More than 100 Jianqiu kicking enthusiasts have taken part in the sport’s first competition in Huai’an, which kicked off for two days from August 5. The sport, much like badminton shuttlecock, attracted 24 teams from across Huai’an to participate in the event.

The competition, featuring a sport developed from traditional Jianzi kicking, was held at local badminton court, and adopted the rules of volleyball and techniques of football. The 3v3 game was interesting and competitive, and therefore was popular among the people of Huai'an.

In recent years, the Huai'an Gymnasium has actively created new carriers of fitness activities and cultivated new fitness projects. The popular Jianqiu kicking project was thus introduced, providing a new choice for the people of Huai'an.
