A series of astronomical phenomena are set to light up the sky later this month.

Both bright Venus and a crescent moon will appear at the same time on July 20. As Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, it usually cannot be seen because of the sun's light. But around July 30, it is at its maximum distance from the sun, making it possible to see. On top of that, the romantic Delta Aquarids meteor shower will also be visible on the same day, according to an expert from Jiangsu Astronomical Society.
