Dozens of deals signed during Xi's visit

A total of 49 deals were agreed during Xi Jinping's trip to the US. They covered issues like investment, people-to-people exchanges, and climate change. The deals will also give Americans and Chinese greater opportunities to travel to each other's countries.


Next year has been set as "China-US Tourism Year", and the two countries are expecting a total of five million trips. China has also announced to fund 50 thousand students exchanges between the two countries over the next three years, with a greater emphasis on innovation programs.


China and the US also made headway in the fight against corruption, pledging further cooperation based on past agreements./And China’s State Council Information Office separately reached agreements with the National Geographic Channel and the Walt Disney Company. China and the US will also jointly establish film production companies.


During the Sino-US Internet forum, Chinese and American tech companies agreed on future cooperation in cloud computing, big data, cyber security and internet services. A group of Chinese companies signed a deal with plane maker Boeing to buy 300 aircraft.


Meanwhile, the China-US Governors Forum produced a deal to promote clean energy and economic development. The deal pledges to speed up the development and use of clean and recyclable resources. During his visit, Xi Jinping also stressed that China will provide more open, flexible and transparent conditions for foreign investment. Editor:Rose
